Diwali festival was celebrated with great pomp at Swami Narayan Chhapia Temple, the birthplace of Lord Ghanshyam Maharaj, in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. The entire temple complex including the birthplace temple of Lord Ghanshyam Maharaj located at Maskanwa was decorated grandly. Deepotsav was organized at the sacred Narayan Sarovar in front of the temple.
After Lakshmi puja and Ganesh puja, Aarti of Lord was performed. Govardhan Puja was performed in the temple on the second day of Diwali. Annakoot, Chhappanbhog were imposed. Fifty-six types of offerings including Mysore, Magaj, Barfi, Balushahi, Bundichur were offered. Mahant Dev Swami of the temple, Guru Swami Jagat Prakash, Kothari Vishnu Swami along with host Ramesh Bhai Patel and other Hari devotees performed worship and aarti of the Lord.
